1 1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
3 1/2 - 4 cups walnuts
Wax paper or foil
• Cook sugar, water and salt to soft boil stage, stirring occasionally.
• Remove from heat.
• Add vanilla and cinnamon, stir.
• Add walnuts and stir to coat walnuts evenly with syrup.
• Quickly spread as thin as possible on waxed paper or foil and let cool.
• Break pieces apart when cool.
*Adding a few drops of mint is a nice touch!
